This research work was performed at Food and Biotechnology Research Center, PCSIR Lahore.

pH

The measured pH value for the Brand Monster is 3.93, which was the highest among all caffeinated beverages hence it implies it is least acidic among all caffeinated beverages. The least pH value among all caffeinated drinks observed for Lucozade which is 3.18 and it implies it is highly acidic. So, pH ranging from 3.18 to 3.93 for all samples of energy drinks.  The oral pH ranged from 6.5 to 7.5. If pH falls up to critical level (5.5) it may cause tooth rot. If the pH falls under the critical pH 5.5 level frequently for extensive stretches of time the enamel coat of tooth will be dematerialized. All the caffeinated drinks samples are happen acidic in nature.

The preservatives such as tartaric acid, magic acid, phosphoric acid and carbon dioxide used in energy drinks lower the pH values. The acids hinder development of microorganism, which may cause the contamination of drinks.

BRIX level

The measured BRIX level for each of the energy drink sample is cited in (Table II). The observed results show that the BRIX level in the energy drinks samples ranged from 7 to 13 BRIX units. Sample 3 Horses had the least BRIX level 7 while sample Bullet had the most noteworthy BRIX level 13.  Frequent utilization of sugar-containing sustenance can build danger of dental caries.

The high contents of sugars in caffeinated beverages make it challenging for spit to remove this item from the tooth and hence the pH stays more acidic for a more drawn-out timeframe. Refined sugars assume a significant part in the dental caries. The confirmation connecting sugar and tooth rot irresistible. An expansion of 1 oz in day-by-day energy drink utilization expands a kid's danger of having broad caries by 26%.

Acidity

Titration is a simple, financially suitable and solid technique to be utilized in day by day and routine research lab work. These are the reasons why we used such technique to do this imperative investigation.

The determined percentage acidity in all 6 sample energy drinks are given in (Table III). The content of citric acid in all selected sample energy drinks ranged between 1.344% - 1.792%. The percentage acidity are found for all selected and imported Brands of Energy drinks Lucozade, Bullet, Monster, Black Bruin, Red Bull and 3 Horses is 1.536%, 1.792%, 1.664%, 1.344%, 1.376% and 1.620% respectively. The utilization of citrus extract in caffeinated drinks generally reflects levels regularly found in common organic products (Orange 1 percent, grapefruit 1.5 percent and lemon 2.5 percent. My results in this investigation showed the percentage of acidity range from 1.344% to 1.792%. These levels of found percentages are comparable with natural fruits.
